Big Daddy Weave & The JJWeeksBand this Saturday, 08/11/12, at The AMP in Carrollton, GA

We had a chance to see The JJWeeksBand (their official spelling of the band's name) for the first time earlier this summer at The Mill in Villa Rica, GA.  They were amazing and this concert has been our calendar since that night!

Big Daddy Weave - "What Life Would Be Like"

Truly compelling music makes the personal universal. Few artists have done that more consistently or more movingly than Big Daddy Weave. Through more than a decade of hits like "In Christ,” “Audience of One,” "You're Worthy Of My Praise," “Every Time I Breathe,” What Life Would Be Like,” and “You Found Me,” they have shared the journey in a way that has won the ongoing respect of fans, press and industry alike. Their musical journey began with a Dove Awards nomination as New Artist of the Year in 2002 and includes a 2010 Dove Award for the album Christ Has Come. They have been honored at ASCAP's Christian Music Awards, were chosen for the WOW Hits compilations in five of the last six years and are one of the 10 most played artists at Christian radio over the past decade.

The JJWeeksBand - Screaming Outloud

The JJ Weeks Band is a Christian pop/rock group hailing from Macon Georgia. Since the band’s formation in 2002 they have recorded 3 full length albums, shared the stage with acts such as Third Day, Casting Crowns, Toby Mac, Sidewalk Prophets, Kutless, Tenth Avenue North, FireFlight, Royal Tailor, and have gained national notoriety through an extensive touring schedule which has included more than 140 dates per year. After working with Award winning producer Scotty Wilbanks of Third Day (DecembeRadio, Echoing Angels) in 2010, the band released their third full length album, OUTLOUD, which is opening a lot of doors in radio airplay with songs like “What kind of Love” and “Save Us”.

Sol Junky rocks The Mill tonight, 08/04/12

Sol Junky rocks The Mill tonight, 08/04/12

- From the Sol Junky web site:

Sol Junky is an Atlanta based band known for their high energy live performances. Their music represents an extremely unique mix of cross-fusion, providing an amazing ability to connect with all audiences. This line up overflows with talent .You never know what to expect at a Sol Junky show...instruments like beer kegs or a flute, banjo or mandolin. Maybe a parade through the crowd playing Sol Junky bluegrass style. Whatever they do, they will have you on a journey of great friends, good times, and great music.

Some of Sol Junkys' success can be directly attributed to their knowledge of music. Having the ability to not only play great original music but great covers that range from Johnny Cash to Kool & the Gang and from North Mississippi Allstars to Pink Floyd, etc. For Sol Junky it's about having the experience of a lifetime with you. Creative Loafing has said , "They are winning over dubious listeners with soulful material and tight playing that comes alive in concert. They will leave you with a smile on your face and wanting more." Check them out on Facebook at www.facebook.com\soljunky
